Camp gets 100% recommendation rating from last year's student participants

Music for All Summer Symposium logo MAY 6, 2011 — Music for All's Summer Symposium, presented by Yamaha, is the nation's most comprehensive summer music camp for high school band and orchestra students, and for high school and middle school directors. The camp delivers a broad range of learning opportunities with divisions focused on marching band, concert band, jazz band, orchestra, percussion, color guard and drum majors.

The 2011 Summer Symposium will take place June 20-25 at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. A special Leadership Weekend Experience takes place June 18-20.

Each evening features a live concert or event by renowned performing groups showcasing an exciting range of genres. Artists performing in 2011 include Jon McLaughlin, members of Time for Three, and The Volunteers. The final event will be DCI Central Indiana featuring top drum and bugle corps including Blue Stars, Carolina Crown, The Cavaliers, Glassmen, Madison Scouts, Pioneer, Teal Sound and Troopers. Students participating in the Summer Symposium's marching band track will have the opportunity to rehearse and perform with Carolina Crown.
