Music for All seeks high school band members from select states to perform in the Bands of America Honor Band


Band to perform in the Rose Parade on January 1, 2013

In 2009 the Bands of America Honor Band delivered a crowd-pleasing performance at the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade. INDIANAPOLIS (July 26, 2012) — Music for All is seeking outstanding performers from several states for its Bands of America Honor Band, which will perform in the 124th annual Tournament of Roses Parade, January 1, 2013 in Pasadena, California. The Bands of America (BOA) Honor Band is a 300-member national marching band, with student members selected from across the country.

"We envision a national ensemble featuring high school band members from all 50 of the United States of America, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico," says Eric L. Martin, President and CEO of Music for All. "We are very close to this goal, and are still seeking applications from these states: Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Maine, Montana, Nevada, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming, plus Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico."

Music For All logo Music for All is accepting applications from all states on all instruments except piccolo, alto and baritone saxophone (those sections are full). Applicants should complete the application form as soon as possible and prepare their recorded audition according to the application packet.
